About our Pre-K Class

In this class, we teach the kids everything they need to know to be ready for Kindergarten academically and socially in an age appropriate environment. So many preschools are starting to look like Kindergarten classrooms now-a-days. There is such a big push from society to make preschools adademic and because of this, many schools are losing something that is so important- learning how to positively interact with other people! We have created an environment that focuses largely on teaching the kiddos decision making skills not only in independent situations, but with their peers. We have also created an environment that will teach the academics in an age appropriate way.

Our Pre-K students are lucky to be able to learn a second language.  Miss Juliet teaches our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes Mandarin Chinese in all aspects of the class.  The students are immersed in the language and culture through songs, instruction and engaging activities!

In the fall of 2012, we implemented a new curriculum called Zoo-phonics. The kids are having a ton of fun with it and so are we! We emphasize science, music, math, Mandarin Chinese, dramatic play, number and letter recognition, art, daily small and gross motor activity, writing, reading and story dictation.

We take a hands on approach to this curriculum by teaching through games, songs, and activities that keep the interest of the children. At Creative Sprouts, they learn to love school and look forward to coming. Our program allows children to learn how to positively interact with each other in a stimulating, enriching, very social environment. Children leaving our program are academically prepared for Kindergarten AND they have the social tools to work through conflicts with their peers as well as a strong sense of independence and self-confidence!

Age 4 by August 31st

This class has a teacher to child ratio of 1:6. This class has a maximum of 12 children.
